Being a self-guided tutorial, any user can perform the straightforward steps without supervision. We offer mentoring at no charge for those who need a bit of handholding along the way.

The Social Media Boot Camp provides a starter kit with both how-to instructions and hands-on self-paced TODO’s that will enable clients to be effective online social communicators. Developing online conversational skills focuses on achieving business goals. There are plenty of helpful tools identified, too.

Anyone wanting to gain or improve basic social networking communications skills should go through the Social Media Boot Camp. Becoming an online social star who can motivate prospective customers to buy, bring them into your sales funnel, and then reap the rewards of monetizing social media, requires being well-grounded in the basics taught in the Social Media Boot Camp.

It was a great experience, especially the hands-on mentoring.

One thing I came away with from Boot Camp was, in sustaining social conversations, having to overcome my tendencies to not finish what I star

  2. iSellit Says:

I’m really having a bit of trouble zeroing in on a discussion group for Step 1. No prospects found.

    • MarkeTech Says:

Step 1 is intended to put you into an online community where you can learn social skills. You want to find groups in which you have non-business interests in common. Many bootcampers seem to migrate to their hobbies. Some find social forums where they can learn about something new that they always wanted to do.

Where to find and nurture leads online is covered in the Social Media Monetization program. For now, find an online community that won’t put the pressure of working a lead into your social media development. Just put your business life aside and be social in Step 1. That will bring you better outcomes.

  3. MikeIsMe Says:

Boot Camp seemed really naïve at first but, when it all came together, I became a better online conversationalist. I’m about to try my first blog.

  4. MarkW25 Says:

I’m not too sure about Step 4. I kind of get the idea of developing an online persona , but that’s about it for me. How do I know that I completed the TODO?

BTW, I’m actually on Step 6, so I’m just using this comment to move the conversation forward by posting a question on this blog site.

    • MarkeTech Says:

Could your social media persona’s “brand” be that you are conscientious in everything you do? Maybe one might add to that your honesty in acknowledging that you are on this blog site practicing. Hey, I trusted you enough to respond, so perhaps that’s a reflection of who you are online!

More to the point, your persona is not what you see when you look into a social media mirror on the wall. It’s what others believe they are seeing when they socially interact with you online. How each of those responds to you defines your persona. One might say that your social media persona is the aggregate of what your online community does in response to what you are doing.

The persona thing goes well beyond that rather superficial explanation, and we’ll be getting into it in much greater detail in the Social Media Monetization program.

Also, Mark, you should have received a support document about persona in an email from your Boot Camp Drill Sergeant. If you haven’t received that one, or any of the others he’s been sending to you every week or so, please contact him directly.
